Contending For The Faith

Why I Began Writing

Well because It slowly became a passion

Hi, I’m TL!

For me, writing began as something simple, but over time it grew into a passion. I discovered it was more than just an outlet—it became a way for me to process life and communicate what was on my heart. I often find that I can express myself more clearly through written words than I ever could verbally.

A New Beginning

Today, I write not only to share my own thoughts but also to point others back to the truth of the gospel. As disciples of Christ, I believe we are called to contend for the faith. The reality is that so many people don’t realize what they’re being exposed to or how false teachings are crowding out truth in our world.

It’s eye-opening when you think about it: we often claim to want freedom, yet cling tightly to the very things that keep us in bondage. In many ways, we’re like the children of Israel—crying out for deliverance, but then complaining once God begins to lead us out, believing we had it better before. That’s the subtle power of deception, and it’s why I feel so strongly about writing and sharing what God puts on my heart.

Like many others, I wrestled with doubts and uncertainties when I first came to faith on my own. Much of that struggle came from being under false teaching. It wasn’t that I wasn’t reading or studying—I was—but when truth gets mixed with lies, it can be difficult to discern what’s real and what’s not.

That’s one of the reasons I started writing. I wanted to make a difference—whether small or great—by pointing people back to the truth of God’s Word. My heart is to encourage others to contend for the faith and to truly listen to what God is saying to us through Scripture.

My prayer is that someone reading or listening will encounter these words and experience a genuine change of heart.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19
